Dear Colleagues,
After Bethesda in 2005 organized by Karel Pacak and Graeme Eisenhofer, Cambridge in 2008 organized by Ashley Grossman and Morris J. Brown, we are delighted to announce that the 3rd International Symposium on Pheochromocytoma and Paraganglioma will be held in Paris, France, from 14th to 17th September 2011. It is a great pleasure for us to encourage you to participate actively in this special event.
Because pheochromocytoma and paraganglioma are able to induce hypertension and to stimulate angiogenesis pathway, we are also pleased to invite companies and partners with an interest in the field of Endocrinology, Oncology, Hypertension, Endocrine or ENT Surgery, Genetics, Radiology and Nuclear Medicine or with a special interest in basic or clinical research dedicated to develop innovative technologies or therapeutics for angiogenic or catecholamine-producing tumors to participate as major sponsors at ISP2011.
ISP is an expected "rendez-vous" by scientists, physicians and all health-care disciplines as well as by patients and patient support group representatives because it is a great opportunity to learn about the state-of-the-art in pheochromocytoma and paraganglioma, to meet the leading experts in the field (coming from Europe, United States of America, Asia and Australia), to exchange and discuss the most recent research data as well as to develop international collaborative studies between clinical and/or academic research teams. In 2011, the symposium will take place at a unique moment where key pathophysiological mechanisms and new therapeutic targets have been discovered and translated from bench to bedside. Important changes in the management and in the therapeutics should be presented.
To gather the attendees during three days, we have selected the Convention Center of the Disney’s Newport Bay Club® (Marne-la-Vallée) for the scientific symposium. A typical French evening will be organized at the Château de Ferrières located near the congress center.

Although the final program is not completed, ISP2011 will be a unique opportunity to meet eminent international leaders from the world of Endocrinology, Angiogenesis and Oncology.
The plenary sessions will deal with the new advances in genetics and hereditary syndromes, biochemical diagnosis and validation of new biomarkers, imaging (radiology and nuclear medicine), patient management, preclinical studies in animal models, therapeutic targets and new and future clinical trials.
We look forward to sharing with you the preparation of the ISP2011.
